Organization Background｜組織背景

 

The Asia-Pacific Liberal Women Association (APLW) is the Asia-Pacific regional chapter of the International Network of Liberal Women (INLW), established in Taiwan. It is one of the few international non-governmental organizations in Taiwan with consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

 

亞太自由婦女協會（APLW）為國際自由婦女聯盟（INLW）在台設立的亞太地區總會，為台灣少數具有聯合國經社理事會（ECOSOC）諮詢地位之國際性非政府組織。

 

Membership is open to all genders and nationalities, with a mission to promote:

       •   Promote gender equality

       •   Protect human rights, freedom, and democratic values

       •   Increase women's participation in decision-making and their voice in national development

 

本會會員不分國籍與性別，宗旨在於推動：

       •   提昇性別平權
       •   保障人權自由民主價值

       •   提高女性對於國家發展方向參與決策及話語權

 

APLW actively engages in international advocacy, especially through the NGO Committee on the Status of Women (NGO CSW) under the United Nations, collaborating with women’s organizations worldwide to advance global gender equality.

 

本會積極參與聯合國的非政府組織婦女地位委員會（NGO CSW），與全球婦運代表互動交流，致力促進全球婦女權益與地位，讓台灣女性在國際社會中發聲並建立連結。
